The Start Stop feature on my 2011 Giulietta 2.0 diesel has worked intermittently working (not working 90% of the time) since I bought the car used in December 2014. I pointed this out the the dealer at the time but was told that during the winter the colder weather and increased battery load from P0335 engine speed sensor circuit. P1320 timing rev synchronisation. The engine started misfiring and then completely failed just prior to routine cam belt change. With this came intermittent problems with starting. Since then I've had. - the RPM sensor changed. - cam sensor changed (twice) and the cam wheel (?) once.

Interpretation A was directly from an Alfa dealer and I found exactly the same interpretation (A) that had also been given by another Alfa dealer on an older post from another owner. I would normally trust a dealer source for specific technical information over forums (even specialist ones) and this is my first experience of Alfa Romeo. 1cXoC.
